Monuments and Museums in the City
About eight miles south from the city center of San Diego, you’ll find the Cabrillo National Monument located on the tip of Point Lima. The monument is of the statue of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, who was the first European explorer to incorporate the San Diego city. There also exist multiple museums in the area, including the USS Midway Museum in the San Diego bay and Maritime Museum of San Diego, among others.
